Fork Rebuild
The most neglected aspect of any bike is its suspension.
When was the last time you changed your fork or shock oil?
Suspension fluids should be changed yearly, but I would even allow 2 years.
My `96 916's forks and shock went until late 2000 for their overhaul and it showed in a major way.
The stock Ohlins shock had no reaction to compression adjustments what so ever.
Once apart, it was caked up with slime.
The forks were nasty, too, with rust starting to form!

The fuel screws are located on the bottom of the carbs.
Make sure to record where they were before making any changes.

The left "screw" is the slow air screw.
The right "screw" is the main air jet.
